"Becoming What I Already Was!" "...PREDESTINED according to the purpose of the One who works out everything in agreement with the decision of His will..." Ephesians 1:11 As I was preparing my mind, body and spirit for year 2022, I began to focus on the fact that moment by moment I am loosing myself from generations and generations of mental and spiritual bondage. I am freeing myself to be the Divine version of myself that I was meant to be. I am not bound my the opinions and doctrines of man, regardless of race, color or creed.  Recently, I was writing some notes as they came into my mind and I had a feeling that some of these things, I had written before, though I could not remember where or when. In a matter of days, I unexpectedly came across a document that had written in January 2013 discussing this same subject matter. While re-reading this document, it dawned on me that it was written nine (9) years ago and that is extremely significant. Why? You may ask. Le

Finish Well!   "Now all has been heard, here is the conclusion of the matter..." Ecclesiastes 12:13 (NIV) “Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made straight, and the rough places plain.” Isaiah 40:4 (KJV)     Let's just be real about it, these past two years have shown us unprecedented turmoil. Personally, I cannot think of any period in my life that compares to it. Without proper warning and preparation time, we awakened to a worldwide tsunami that altered our entire lifestyle. The activities that we do daily, without thought, have been completely revised. For many, it is as if we are living in an altered state of reality and the extremes are phenomenal. There have been, and continue to be, extreme losses. The loss of lives. The loss of human connections. The loss of employment. The loss of housing. The loss of mental stability. For many, the loss of hope. Yet, at the same time we have gained much. We have gained perspectiv

From Conception to Reality

September . The word is based on the Latin septem ~ meaning "seven" and is the ninth Month of the year. The number seven is important in various religions and studies, it conveys completeness and perfection. September is known as the Month of birthing and the transition between drastic occurrences in the Seasons. Last Month, which was August, we focused on novel emergence of ideas and concepts, new and renewed visions, dreams and goals. This Month we will maintain a focal point of the reality of birthing these things which we have previously conceptualized. They are now coming into fruition! I cannot address the subject of birthing without thinking of the incomparable Role of a Mother in this process. Mothers are the canals through which life emerges. Consequently, she is to be admired, adored, respected and revered. She is piety and must be treated with deference, for without her existence, we would not understand the weighty importance of accrouchement, "the time (pr

August ~ Novel Emergence with Divine Purpose

Image
Ever since I can remember, when the Month of August arrives, discussions begin about the #8 and inevitably shouts of "New Horizons" are heard. These conversations are filled with hope, plans for unity and peace and personal balance. The atmosphere becomes sprinkled with Creative Risings and innovative initiatives. Preparing for this Month, I thought of a familiar adage that contains the statement, "As a Phoenix, rising from the ashes" which is often used when talking about next level life experiences. Meditating on this concept, my mind saw a picture of a Crescent moon. Upon further study, I learned that Crescent moons represent Motherhood and Fertility (you know that caught my attention) and that it is also said to be symbolic of development, creative power and manifestation.  The end of the moon's cycle (the waning phase) is leading into a NEW moon. It is the feminine symbol that universally represents the rhythm of time as it embodies the cycle. As we give

Free to Be Me ~ Purpose-Driven Freedom One of my greatest life achievements has been finding my Voice and the Freedom to use it. For most of my life, I have been ide ntified mostly by my bloodline and connections, seldom as just myself.   A few years ago, I had one of many life-changing experiences. this experience opened my eyes to the power of personal freedom. I saw a beautiful butterfly appearing to be flapping its wings near a windown, but the butterfly was not going anywhere. It was not making any progress in what appeared to be an attempt to fly away. To be free. Thinking that maybe it was stuck and needed some assistance, I slowly made my way over to where the butterfly was and tried shooing it away. However, even though the wings kept flapping, the butterfly still did not move from that spot. After watching it for some time, I went back inside, thinking that maybe if I left it alone, it would do what it was designed and purposed to do, FLY! Days passed and I thought no more

"Honoring Fatherhood" "...if I am your Father, where is my Honor?" Malachi 1:6 "For you have countless instructors...but don't have many Fathers..." I Cor. 4:15 The entire Month of June, we Honor and recognize the Gift of Fatherhood. We value the place of Fathers in our lives and we salute them. As the proverbial "Daddy's Girl" I have so many memories of the first man that ever loved me and that I loved. He was the first man to hold me in his arms and say, "I love you and I will take care of you." I have a memory that goes all the way back to the Second Grade in Elementary School. It was Field Day and I was participating in a Race. The entire time, preparing and running, all I kept thinking was, "My Daddy is watching me. I have to win. I have to make him proud." Unfortunately, I came in 2nd. To say that I was devastated would be an understatement. I remembering receiving the 2nd Place ribbon and running to the safety

Queen Mothers

Happy Mother's Day, Moms. It's all about YOU right through here (smile.) You are the Queen who carries and brings forth Life. Today and everyday, you are a Jewel, a nurturer. A nourisher. A soothing balm in time of Crisis. Your hand rocks the cradle that rocks the World. You provide sustenance; comfort and you are the Source of affection where there is pain. You breathe for that child while you carry them inside and you are solely responsible for what they receive. They eat and drink what you eat and drink. When you are happy, they feel it. When you are sad, they feel it. The Gift of Motherhood, whether planned or unplanned, is simply amazing. The knowledge that there is a whole person growing inside of you is mind-blowing. The lessons, the regrets, the evolution, and constant revolution. Yes, we have had some low valleys and times of despair, but in many of those times, we have found our children to be the wind which moves us forward. From the moment of conception, until the W
