Carrying the Promise

"And the Angel came to her and said, "Rejoice favored woman! The Lord is with you.....Then the Angel told her: Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Now listen, you will conceive and give birth to a Son, and you will call His name Jesus."  St. Luke 1:28-31 (HCSB) On this Christmas day, that Christians refer to as the day that Christ was born, I reflect on a previous conversation that I had with my oldest Son, Byron. We were conversing about various aspects of my Organization, "A Mother's Cry" and some of the challenges of bringing for my goals and visions to support Mothers. In addition, I shared some of the challenges of Motherhood and the weight of responsibility of shaping, molding and nurturing your child. The Conclusion of the Matter

"Now all has been heard, here is the conclusion of the matter..."  Ecclesiastes 12:13 (NIV) Let's just be honest here. Let's tell the whole story.  2020 has been a Year like no other. I cannot think of any Year in my life that compares to it. Without proper warning and preparation we were awakened to a tsunami that altered our entire lifestyle. The activities that we do daily, without thought, have been completely revised. For many, it is as if we are living in an altered state of reality and the extremes are phenomenal. For example, we have experienced extreme losses. The loss of lives. The loss of human connections. The loss of employment. The loss of housing. The loss of mental stability. For many, the loss of hope. Yet, at the same time we have gained much. We have gained perspective on the importance of relationships. We have gained a greater appreciation for the things that we have. We have gain clarity in vital areas and we better comprehend the need to focus.
