The Conclusion of the Matter

"Now all has been heard, here is the conclusion of the matter..."
Ecclesiastes 12:13 (NIV)

Let's just be honest here. Let's tell the whole story.  2020 has been a Year like no other. I cannot think of any Year in my life that compares to it. Without proper warning and preparation we were awakened to a tsunami that altered our entire lifestyle. The activities that we do daily, without thought, have been completely revised. For many, it is as if we are living in an altered state of reality and the extremes are phenomenal.

For example, we have experienced extreme losses. The loss of lives. The loss of human connections. The loss of employment. The loss of housing. The loss of mental stability. For many, the loss of hope. Yet, at the same time we have gained much. We have gained perspective on the importance of relationships. We have gained a greater appreciation for the things that we have. We have gain clarity in vital areas and we better comprehend the need to focus.

Previously, we may have felt unstable and unsure, 2020 has reinforced the need to firm up our foundational structures and stand on them! We have often felt severe anxiety, but have learned to harness it and embrace our Spiritual sensitivities. We have seen many open doors closed this year, forcing us to divert our attention and energy into creating our own doors. We have cried a lot of painful tears, later realizing that they were cleansing our Souls. We have arrived at a place where we have ceased to live our daily existence in overdrive, but we now savor living in the moment.

One of the greatest things to come out of this year, is that so many of us have found our Voice! We have stepped out of the shadows and into our own light. We have found it and we are using it LOUDLY. In addition, we have discovered that not only do we have a Voice, WE ARE A VOICE. We are the voice for our Children, our Neighbor, our Communities, our Nation, our World.

We have come to this conclusion. We are fierce. We are amazing. We know how to survive and thrive. We are walking into the New Year with our heads raised, our shoulders squared, our Faith and Hope intact. We got this!
