Queen Mothers Reset

By nature, Mothers like order. We prefer structure and schedules. We are nurtures and we want everything around us in its proper place. We came into this New Year, primed and ready to power forward with our 20/20 Visions and Dreams. Then, POW!! Covid-19 snuck up on us and knocked us completely on our butts.

We sat there in our shock for a bit, but then we slowly made it to our knees. Then we were able to stand, though still a bit wobbly. Some of us faced illnesses and deaths of our loved ones and we were helpless to fix them. You know, the "Mother response."

We watched our children thrown completely off their routines as they were snatched from their friends, Teachers and School routines and quarantined in their homes. Not only was their teaching altered, but their social interactions brought to a halt. As Mothers, we cry for them and with them, while we attempt to explain this messy situation, that we ourselves do not even understand. We reached that proverbial lockdown. Now what?

I want to remind you that if you are reading this, life is still for your living. Yes, we have made major adjustments. We have lost much. We have cried and hurt for those we love. Yet, we are still here! Life us not over, Mom. Speak life to yourself. Saturate your Spirit with things that strengthen it. Then, speak that life into your Children.

I teach that Motherhood is a Gift and a Ministry all of its own. Every woman cannot do it. But I also teach that God gives us a special Grace to Mother. I want you to realise that this Grace applies even in these tumultuous times.

We are Queen Mothers and we are on the Front Lines, doing what we are called to do.

  1. We are still here! Lord knows 2020 has been a year like no other, but as mothers, God’s grace has and is carrying us through. He blessed us to stand even in the midst of Covid. How blessed are we!
